To help all Texas applicants prepare for the upcoming E-Rate Year 12 (FY2009) application cycle, we are pleased to announce eleven E-Rate webinars that will provide basic information, updates, and refreshers to all E-Rate applicants; those new to E-Rate as well as those who consider themselves veterans. Although all sessions are free, you must pre-register to attend on or before July 7, 2009 so you have time to complete all steps necessary to enroll. If you’ve not purchased your E-Rate manual from us yet, now is a good time to do this; before these training sessions begin. See link above to order your manual now.
Registration is a three step process:
Step One: (Pre-registration) To pre-register, go to: https://register.esc12.net/default.aspx. When you get to our Region 12 registration page, input the session number for which you wish to register (each one must be done individually one at a time) and proceed to the “Register Now!” button and click “Go”. If you are new and have never registered with us here at Region 12, you’ll see a “New Guests:” section (click on the icon located on the right) that will ask you some profile questions so we know who you are. Once you have completed that, you’ll have your name and password for all the other sessions for which you want to pre-register. Please make sure your email address is correct. There are also some phone numbers listed at the bottom of the Region 12 webpage if you need personal assistance with registration. You will complete pre-registration in the Region 12 system. This information will allow us to enter you into our GoToWebinar sessions.
NOTE: You will receive a confirmation email as soon as you pre-register from rex12@esc12.net. You will also receive a reminder email several days prior to each event for which you pre-registered. It will advise you to come to ESC Region 12 to attend but remember, this is a webinar and you will not come to Region 12.
Step Two: (Registration) You will receive an email from me for each session for which you pre-registered in step one. This email will advise you in how to complete the registration process. You will be required to enter your first and last name along with your email address. If you do not receive a message from me within a week after your pre-registration has been completed, check your SPAM filter. If you do not receive this email from me for each session, you will not be registered for each event, even if you pre-registered. If you do not receive this email, let us know at erate@esc12.net.
Step Three: (Connecting) You will receive a final email giving you specific instructions on what to do to connect on the time and date of each session for which you registered. This will be information about how to connect and test your computer for system requirements as well as the URL for each session. This is a specific registration just for you. It allows only one person to connect. If you know of someone that needs to attend, send them this email so they can complete all three steps.
There are 600 seats available for each training and if those become filled, we will schedule more sessions later.
Come, enjoy the summer fun! All webinars are unique in terms of their content so register for as many as you like. These will be recorded and available for later viewing if you miss a session you wish to attend. These recordings will be available through August.
Once you are registered, you will be able to download my PowerPoint handouts prior to each session as well. This information will be provided to each registrant just prior to the session.
For individuals that may not be familiar with webinars, you simply log-in to the website (once you complete step three) where you will view the training online from the comfort of your own computer (I'll be presenting a PowerPoint and taking live written questions).
To repeat the steps you must take to attend these sessions:
- Pre-register with Region 12 at https://register.esc12.net/default.aspx by putting the session number of each session you wish to attend with all the information needed.
- You will receive an email advising you how to register with our GoToWebinar session (you’ll input your name and email address only)
- You will receive a final email with direct instructions on where to point your browser for each session. Each session has a unique location so make sure you register for all sessions you wish to attend.
